Welcome to D.B. Management

My name is Dan Beaulieu and I am the president and co-founder of D.B. Management Group L.L.C. This web site was designed to give you as much information and insight into our company and services as possible. As you scroll through these pages you have the opportunity to learn who we are, what we do, what we have successfully done for other companies and what we can do for your and your company.

You will also have to chance to check out my writings, articles, columns both written and book reviews, features and numerous interviews that I have done in the past few years. A word about consultants

Why you shouldn't call me:
If you are looking for a fancy $ 2000.00 suited executive with complicated charts and grandiose plans at equally exorbitant prices, then don't call me. If it will make you feel better to talk with a guy who throws around the latest buzz words to the extent that he makes you feel stupid, then don't call me. If you are looking for a bank "recommended" turn around "expert" who will put the bank's interest over yours....then do not and I repeat do not call me.

When you should call me:
If you want a smart, hard working "meat and potatoes" hands on type of guy to help you solve your problems, then you should call me. If you want someone who will immediately roll up his sleeves and get right to work, making your problems his problems, then you should call me. If you are looking for someone who will not only provide solutions but implement them as well, then you should call me.

I get right to work making your company better:
From the first time I walk into your company I am trying to work myself out of a job. I want to help you solve your problems as quickly, efficiently and effectively as possible. I want to get your company back on track and self-sufficient as soon as I can. I believe that there are two things that start to smell bad if they stay around too long, one of them is fish, and the other is...you guessed it, a consultant.

I customize my solutions to fit your needs:
Some companies I work with need a complete overhaul: and then there are others who just need some minor adjustments, where just a few solutions and implementations will solve their problems and get them back on track. I customize my solutions to fit my clients' specific needs.

I have to be blunt, I am in this to make money, and this is how I make my living. My fees are not cheap but, I'm not exorbitantly expensive either. Daniel B. Beaulieu

Dan Beaulieu has over 30 years experience in the printed circuit board industry. He his considered one of the industry's top marketing and sales experts, as well as perhaps the strongest and most focused strategist in the industry.

Before co-founding D.B.Management Group he served as the top sales executive in three major printed circuit board fabrication companies; Maine Electronics, General Circuits and Automated Systems Inc.

Mr. Beaulieu is also a well-known industry writer and columnist writing sales and marketing columns in Circuitree , Printed Circuit Design and Manufacture, U.S. Tech and Printed Circuit News. He is also a writer of feature articles about various board shops and how they perform in the industry. He is always available for working with clients on their marketing communications and image literature needs.

Since co-founding D.B.Management Group, Mr. Beaulieu has worked personally with numerous board shops including: Photocircuits, Prototron, Rockwell Collins, IBIDEN, Circuit Images, RBP Chemical, Taiyo- America and many others.

His specialty is helping companies increase their sales through the use of sales strategies and tactics, niche definition, marketing communications plans and managing, measuring and motivating sales forces. Having worked with independent sales reps for many years, Mr. Beaulieu is particularly well suited for helping companies develop successful and profitable relationships with their reps.

Mr. Beaulieu is a member of Sales and Marketing Executives of America and both a Certified Marketing Executive (CME) and a Certified Sales Executive (CSE).

Mr. Beaulieu is particularly interested in and completely dedicated to helping board shops enhance their professional and technical image through sales and marketing. He feels that. "Most companies in our industry have a sales and marketing executive that really spends 99.9% of his time on sales and .1% of his time on marketing, I consider it my job to fix that. Until we are completely dedicated to the concept of marketing ourselves, we will remain a second tier industry."

How We Work

INTRODUCTORY PACKAGE
In order to better understand what your company will need to be successful I recommend my Introductory Package. This is how it works:

I EVALUATE YOUR COMPANY
I visit your facility for two days. I completely survey your facility studying everything from your sales and marketing efforts, to your technology and manufacturing capabilities and your financial situation. I evaluate your management team as well as your sales team. I look over your customer base looking at who your best customers are and who are your best target accounts. I search for your niche, what you do well that you could capitalize on.

I HELP YOU FIND YOUR NICHE
At the end of two days I will have a very good understanding of who you are, where you have been, why you are in the position you are in and where you should go from here. We are now ready to develop you niche definition.

YOU EVALUATE ME
This time we spend together also gives you a good idea of who I am and how I work. From this you can decide if you are comfortable working with me in the future.

I CREATE A COMPLETE STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLAN
Five business days after my visit I deliver a complete Strategic Business Plan. This plan will give you a clear and concise evaluation of your company as well as a tactical roadmap of what you should do to improve your business. This plan will include a step-by-step implementation plan. Including such tools as Account Plan, Customer Survey forms, Forecasting, Sales implementation plan and rep implementation plan

I PROVIDE A MARKETING COMMUNICTIONS PLAN
I will also provide you with a Marketing Communications plan (Marcom Plan). This plan will describe what sales tools you will need for effectively getting your message out. Designed specifically for your needs this plan will include everything you need to " get the word out" about your company, including sales literature, adverting plans, web site, direct mailing, customer surveys, direct faxing, trade shows, sales presentations and electronic data.

I SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
I will also submit a specific proposal for which services we can offer from this point forward. Usually our clients request that we cover specific needs in this proposal. Our fees will reflect your needs and are customarily amortized in a monthly retainer.

YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF!
My introductory package plans are designed to allow you to either implement them yourself, or hire DBMG to work with you in the implementation. This is entirely up to you.

The key is in the implementation. I not only develop your plan but implement it as well

REASONABLY PRICED
Our price for all of the deliverables mentioned above is $6,000.00 plus expenses. And if you decide to hire me to implement the plan, this fee will be deducted from the long term contract fees.
